Dear Writers,

I’m writing to confirm that you are now registered for our free webinar. It will air on Tuesday, July 14th at 3:00 PM ET.

The Webinar Will Air Here

During these difficult times, we’ve decided to step up and help as many people as we can.

Here’s the big news

We are giving away a free month of Writing Launch Membership to new students.

Why? Because we know a lot of people are still in a tough situation, and we want to help. (And we’re in the extremely fortunate position to be able to offer this.)

Here’s what we’re giving you…

Your free month of membership will include instant access to all of our courses, including…

  • The No B.S. Course on Freelance Writing
  • Freelance Writing for Creative Writers
  • Get Your First Publication: A Seven Day Crash Course

You get more than our courses though, you also get:

  • One-on-one mentoring via email, course discussion boards, and more.
  • Our database of 1700 publishers seeking freelance writers
  • Full access to our community of freelance writers
  • Webinars and live group trainings designed to help specific aspects of your writing career

The bottom line: If you want to get paid to write, this is for you.

What course should you start with?

If you want a solid foundation for a successful writing career, then you should start with The No B.S. Course on Freelance Writing. It will give you the tools you need to build a successful career that lasts. This is particularly valuable for those who are brand new to freelance writing.

If you are primarily a creative writer then a great place to start is our brand new course, Freelance Writing for Creative Writers. You’ll learn how to use your creative writing skills to enhance your freelancing prospects, plus you’ll learn important skills (and differences) necessary for freelance writing.

If you have some experience under your belt, then there are several options that may interest you.

  • The Bulletproof Pitching System helps you land more freelancing clients.
  • The Copywriting Crash Courseteaches you how to get high-paid copywriting jobs.
  • Break Into Blog Writingwill help you get established as a freelance blogger.

How much does all of this cost?

Note – we’re giving you a free month of membership. That means it costs nothing.

Courses like ours regularly sell for upwards of $350 or more. One of our students once “complained” that the training was too similar to her university courses. As you know, university training costs thousands of dollars.

Writing Launch is much more affordable. For those who take advantage of it, the price is extremely low – just $47 per month.

However, for those who take advantage of the free month, the cost is as low as it gets: $0.

Of course, we do hope that some of you will continue as paid members (We do have bills to pay, eventually). But, that is completely up to you.

There’s no way around it: This is an extremely valuable free gift – and I sincerely hope you take full advantage of it.

What is included with membership? Watch this video…

One Important Request

Before you enroll, please commit to actually following through. If you are going to sign up – then please commit to actually doing our training. Even if you only spend ten minutes a day, you can learn a surprising amount. But only if you commit to it.

Enrollment opens on Tuesday, July 14th. Visit our website on Tuesday, and you will be able to claim your free month. (New members only.)

Hi there! Thank you for this opportunity. Sometimes one needs a nudge in the right direction, and I’m hopeful this is my needed nudge. I’m most interested in the No B.S. Course and the Launch Your Writing Career in 30 Minutes a Day. As organized as I am in my life, my writing tends to be more like “squirrel…squirrel…squirrel.” Looking forward to Thursday’s webinar. Be well~

I’m interested in it all!!! I’m brand new to the freelance side of writing, and as freeing as it is that I can now reach out to so many possibilities, that is also the most terrifying part. Prior to this I was told what to do and when by a “boss”, now I’m the boss and have to find the work to pay the bills. No pressure right? 😬 I need to learn it all!

Michelle – There is definitely an adjustment, in terms of being one’s own boss. The pressure is definitely a real thing, at least in my experience. However, it is also wonderful to be able to be in direct control of one’s own time – and income.

As a college student who has no idea what she wants to do after she graduates, I am interested in all of it. I want to maximize my skills as a (what I like to call) “jack-of-all-trades writer.” I do wish to one day write a book, though.

Rachel – This is such an unusual time to be a college student. I can’t imagine. Freelancing certainly could open a lot of doors for you. Our head instructor, Ian Chandler, actually got his start in college.

    Hi there,

I’m most interested in “The Bulletproof Pitching System.”

I already have a massive writing career under my belt (both on staff at magazines and freelancing), but I’m incredibly timid about pitching editors I don’t know. (And even some I do!) It’s such a liability. Always looking for courage to just dive in and approach new markets.

Thank you for this offer, and I’m sure I’ll become a member after investigating your courses!

Dana – you may be most interested in our database of 1700+ publishers, with direct links to editor’s information. That’s a lot of people you could pitch to, so there’s plenty of room for “practice” pitches.

        Hi Jacob,

        Thank you for writing back.

Would love to check that out. And your idea of “practicing” is excellent.

But you’re currently not accepting new members, correct?

I think you’d benefit from our course Freelance Writing for Creative Writters. One of the topics it addresses is how to change your mindset so you can focus on a project and complete it, and then move on to the next one. Freelancers have to learn how to do this, which is a big difference from creative writing, which often benefits from putting things off. (I’m speaking from experience as a poet and a professional writer.)

Freelance Writing for Creative Writers. I’ve written a novel (fiction) and everyone comes to me for anything they need written. I think it’s time I get paid for doing what I’m naturally talented at and what I love to do.

I would suggest choosing *one* course and focusing on completing it. We’ve noticed that the students who do best tend to *not* try all the courses, but rather, they choose one, and focus on just that one course, and *maybe* one other course.

    Freelance Writing for Creative Writers!

I am at the beginning of my career and it is important for me to always work on a project that supports creativity. My job search generally consists of me looking at copywriting jobs and not applying. I want to write more, be more confident and learn how to work as a freelancer.

I write all the time and have my own site. I have a lot of great feedback but don’t know where to go with it.
I finally found a writer David Sedaris who I write similar to. I have hidden this sort of writing before finding him, Now I am re-writing.

Jennifer – You may be interested to know that we just launched a new course about how to make a living running your own website. It’s called “Introduction to Building an Online Information Business.” If you’re interested in turning your website into a real business, it would be worth checking out.

Also – David Sedaris is great. If you’re ever able to (and things return to normal), it is worth it to see him do a live reading. He’s a great reader.

I would start with either the NO B.S. course or the Freelance Writing for Creative Writers. I am already doing some blogging and have written a few short stories that have been published. I have been wanting to start a freelancing career where I can work from home, but my current job has been so demanding I was afraid I wouldn’t have the time to devote to getting it off the ground. But….things have changed!

Breaking into blog writing, because eventually I want to write a book. So, I feel writing in blogs would be a great foundation to turn into an author.
